Emergency Response Plan

Our unique Emergency Response Plan allows subscribers and their family members to customize our response to fit their specific needs. The Emergency Response Plan includes your Personalized Profile with medical history, medications, allergies, physicians, family members, neighbors, and more.

Pafford has an in house control center staffed by emergency medical dispatchers. Our high-tech equipment allows our control center to speak to our subscribers via two-way voice contact. Your control center dispatcher has immediate access to your Emergency Response Plan and to your Personalized Profile. Your dispatcher goes into action to provide critical information to emergency responders and to your designated contacts. All calls are recorded to ensure the highest quality service.

Our Control Center

Located in Ruston, La our control center dispatches ambulances in Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, Union and Lincoln Parishes. If you live within our coverage area we are able to dispatch an ambulance to your residence without having to contact a third party (a service most others do not offer). However, if you live outside our normal coverage area and you active your emergency response button one of our dispatchers is contacting you while another is contacting your local EMS provider.

When it comes to monitoring your medical alarm...only the best will do.

• Should you ever be in need of our services your emergency call is answered by our in house control center. Within seconds a professional, friendly and caring voice will respond to your call for help.
• Your emergency call will be answered by fully trained and certified operators who will get you the help you need.
• Our control center dispatchers are ready to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days of the year. No matter when you have an emergency we are here to help.
• We do not charge any additional fees for "over use" of your alarm. You can activate your alarm any time you are having a medical emergency and be assured that help is on the way.
• Your emergency call will be answered by a live dispatcher, not an answering machine or service. You can be assured you will always have access to our control center in case of an emergency, as well as knowing that your family will be notified so you are never alone.

About the Pafford Family

PAFFORD AMBULANCE SERVICE was formed in Arkansas in 1967 by James and Carol Pafford. It is of the largest and oldest family-owned ambulance operations in America. The second generation of Paffords carries on the tradition. Jamie, Greg, and John work together to maintain the Pafford reputation. Pafford EMS and our sister companies provide service in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. In Summer 2006, Pafford Air One began providing air ambulance service across North Louisiana and South Arkansas.

Pafford EMS, is also involved in educating the community by offering CPR and First Aid courses and encouraging the use of the Enhanced-911 System in reporting an emergency situation.

Pafford also provides other free services that the community does not always see. Their "Home for the Holidays" program was a huge success this past Christmas, and they want to continue this program for other traditional holidays, bringing families together during these times. In addition, they provide ambulances at football games, rodeos, car races, and many other community and sporting events, when availability allows.
